Make an Egg float in salt water

This experiment is really an entertainment  based for kids

And you can learn what are the fact behind in it.

If an egg sinks to the bottom by using glass of ordinary drinking water but what happen if you add salt? The result is very interesting and can teach you some fun facts about density.

What you'll need:

               1.Water
               2.Salt 
               3.A tall drinking glass 

Instructions:

             * Fill the half glass of ordinary water.
             * Stir with max 6 tablespoons of salt.                        
             * Pour plain water carefully until the glass is nearly full (do not disturb or mix the salty water with the plain water).
             * Finally lower the egg gently into the water.

 

What's happening:

     Normally salt water is denser than ordinary tap water, so that denser the liquid easy to float an object. When you started lowering the egg into the liquid it drops through the normal tap water until it reaches the salty water, at this point water is dense enough for egg to float. You should very careful when you added the tap water to the salt water, they'll not mixed, enable the egg to amazing float in the middle of the glass.
